Current limitations

  • ActiveGate version 1.285 and higher is required

  • Events about problems in Nagios with a duration of less than 1 minute may not be synchronized to Dynatrace because the Nagios is polled each at a specified time in the configuration field Dynatrace problem resend time. Value can be set to a minute or lessmore.

  • Problems in Dynatrace are closed at least one minute after the extension detects the problem has been resolved in Nagios. So it may take at least 2 minutes to close a problem in Dynatrace when Nagios problem is resolved.Closing interval is equal to the configuration field Dynatrace problem resend time

  • Ports are not readable from configuration so the Dynatrace custom device has only IP for interconnections with other Dynatrace objects

  • Nagios acknowledges are part of Dynatrace event information, not Dynatrace problem

  • Event properties (Nagios Last check, Nagios Last state change, Nagios Last update) obtain value from the time Nagios plugin poll was executed (interval Dynatrace problem resend time)
