Current limitations

  • ActiveGate version 1.285 and higher is required

  • Events about problems in Nagios with a duration of less than 1 minute may not be synchronized to Dynatrace because the Nagios is polled at a specified time in the configuration field Dynatrace problem resend time. Value can be set to a minute or more.

  • Problems in Dynatrace are closed at least one minute after the extension detects the problem has been resolved in Nagios. Closing interval is equal to the configuration field Dynatrace problem resend time

  • Ports are not readable from configuration so the Dynatrace custom device has only IP for interconnections with other Dynatrace objects

  • Nagios acknowledges are part of Dynatrace event information, not Dynatrace problem

  • Event properties (Nagios Last check, Nagios Last state change, Nagios Last update) obtain value from the time Nagios plugin poll was executed (interval Dynatrace problem resend time)
