Deployment process

1. Add Alanata’s certificate to the Dynatrace credential vault. The exact procedure is documented here.

2. Upload Alanata's certificate to each ActiveGate host within the ActiveGate group selected for running this extension. Save the alanata.pem certificate file in the following location:

   1. Linux: <CONFIG>/remotepluginmodule/agent/conf/certificates/ (default: /var/lib/dynatrace/remotepluginmodule/agent/conf/certificates/)

   2. Windows: %PROGRAMDATA%\dynatrace\remotepluginmodule\agent\conf\certificates\

3. Import extension into Dynatrace server.

Click on Zabbix ActiveGate Extension (version x.xxx) and press button Add new
endpoint

Deploy extension zip file to ActiveGate server.

For Linux server use file with extension LINUX.zip and unzip file into /opt/dynatrace/remotepluginmodule/plugin_deployment

1. In the Extensions menu, press the Upload custom extension button and add our custom_alanata.python.zabbix-2.x.x.zip

2. Find extension custom:alanata.python.zabbix in the list of installed extensions and Add monitoring configuration. Configuration options are documented here.

• For Linux ActiveGate: /var/lib/dynatrace/remotepluginmodule/log/extensions/datasources/custom_alanata.python.zabbix/python3.log

• For Windows ActiveGate: C:\ProgramData\dynatrace\remotepluginmodule\log\extensions\datasources\custom_alanata.python.zabbix\python.exe.log
