Nagios ActiveGate Extension

Synchronization

• Hosts information to Dynatrace entity, including Nagios host IP and monitoring configuration.

• Status for monitored hosts and services in the form of Dynatrace events. Filter for Nagios object status to synchronize:

  • Status is not OK

  • State type is HARD

  • Active check or Passive check is enabled

  • Notification is enabled for Nagios Host or Service

  • Host and Service are not in scheduled downtime

• Nagios metric data for monitored services

Filtering

• Filtering on Nagios host groups

• Filtering on Nagios service names via regular expressions list or substring

• Filtering on metrics (Nagios service names) via regular expressions list or substring

Context information

• Dynatrace entity or event contains a contextual URL link to Nagios host or service

Problem metric

• metric showing the problem count for each device

Nagios technology screens

• Groups all custom topology entities from Nagios created by the Nagios ActiveGate extension

Dashboard

• Overview of all monitored Nagios hosts with problems

• Link to entity lists for connected Nagios servers and their hosts

• Problems tile for Nagios entities
